GOLD COAST, Australia, August 24. RYAN Lochte is known for giving away his medals to fans at swim meets, but he took his generosity to another level at the Pan Pacific championships, donating his silver medal from the 400 free relay as a prize for the U.S.-based Fantasy Swimming group.

SwimMAC and Team USA coach Dave Marsh is joined in this video interview by superfan Holly as they talk about the goal of giving big incentives to the winners of the online competition, and how it can increase exposure and excitement for the sport.

Completely floored by this – so awesome to think the athletes and coaches felt our support thousands of miles away through our little #FantasySwimming league. Happy to report that Ryan’s beautiful silver medal was indeed given to kids, albeit long-distance… my kidlets and I won! Dexter and Celeste are HUGE swimfans and they are beyond excited to receive this wonderful prize. A million thanks to Ryan, Coach Marsh, and everyone who is supporting #FantasySwimming!! Extra kudos to Holly for representing all the USA fans – you rock, girl!!
