Ryan Lochte and Marco Loughran Suffer Minor Injuries in Scooter Accident

GAINESVILLE, Florida, June 23. TV station WCJB reports that Ryan Lochte and Marco Loughran, training partners at the University of Florida, were involved in an accident yesterday morning on the way to workout.

The report states that Lochte was driving his scooter with Loughran to the pool. Details regarding the accident were not made available, but Loughran, a competitor for Great Britain internationally, suffered internal injuries in the accident and was admitted to North Florida Regional hospital. Lochte was not admitted to the hospital, but in the WCJB report, coach Gregg Troy said Lochte suffered an injury to his knee that has been bothering him all season. Troy said Lochte will get a scan of the knee to determine the severity of the damage, but that Lochte has not missed a workout.
