Russia’s Vladimir Dyatchin Wins 10K Open Water Event at Worlds

MELBOURNE, Australia, March 20. RUSSIA's Vladimir Dyatchin won an extremely close finish with Germany's Thomas Lurz in the 10K open water event at the FINA World Championships in Melbourne, Australia.

Dyatchin crossed the line in 1:55:32.52 for the gold, while Lurz finished immediately behind in 1:55:32.58 for silver.

Dyatchin's teammate Evgeny Drattsev rounded out the podium with a bronze-winning time of 1:55:47.31.

Mark Warkentin provided the top American performance with a 20th-place 1:56:15.28.
