Russian Cup: Third Day in the Books

RUZI, Russia, July 3. THE third night of long course meter racing at the Russian Cup came to a close with five more titles being handed out.

Andrey Nikolayev claimed the men's 50 breast title in 27.99, while Stanislav Lahtyuhov finished second in 28.20. Grigory Falko wound up third in 28.38.

Nikolay Skvortsov won the men's 200 fly in 1:59.16, while Aleksandr Vorobyev touched second in 1:59.69. Roman Mikhailov earned third in 1:59.76.

Aleksandra Veselov captured the women's 400 free in 4:18.97, while Mariya Trubitsyna took second in 4:20.33. Elena Shapovalov posted a third-place 4:20.83.

Kseniya Moskvina snared the women's 50 back in 28.87, while Margarita Nesterov touched second in 29.16. Olga Kluchnikova rounded out the top three in 29.61.

In relay action, Maria Gromova, Yekaterina Burdin, Julia Mantsev and Maria Reznikoff won the women's 400 medley relay in 4:11.17.
