Russia Joins Team USA Synchro for Demonstration

WALNUT CREEK, California, June 9. THE 2008 U.S. Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team will debut both its technical and free routines on June 21 at the annual Walnut Creek Night of Champions. For the first time ever, the Russian Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team will join Team USA in a pre-Olympic Games exhibition.

The unique event will offer the reigning World Championship Russian Team international exposure, while the United States will use the opportunity to perfect its performances. Team USA has trained in the Bay Area for the past two years and will enjoy the opportunity to give back to the community.

The Walnut Creek Night of Champions takes place at the Clarke Memorial Swim Center at Heather Farms and will also feature performances by the Walnut Creek Aquanuts. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for the performances. Ticket information can be found at http://www.aquanuts.org.
