Rowdy Gaines Talks With Swimming World Radio About Rowdy’s Kidz

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 21. ROWDY Gaines, a 3-Time Olympic Gold Medalist, is featured on Swimming World Radio talking about the next chapter in his newly appointed position as the Executive Director of Rowdy's Kidz.

He recently stepped down as the Executive Director for the USA Swimming Foundation after a four-year tenure where he oversaw the creation of the Golden Goggles Award's Night and established the foundation's mission to promote water safety and fight childhood obesity. He will continue his work with NBC as an Olympic commentator.

In his new role, Gaines will be overseeing a series of educational and motivational children's swim clinics conducted by Gaines in cities throughout the United States. These clinics will be sponsored by The Limu Company which will bear all the clinic expenses, allowing children to attend at no charge. Gaines had served the previous two years as the Official Spokesperson for the The Limu Company.

"As a father of four, I know first-hand that our children are truly our future, not only in the context of swimming but throughout every part of our society," Gaines recently said. "That's why I'm so excited about the opportunity The Limu Company is providing me, to work more closely with kids as a coach, motivator and thought leader. I'm also particularly energized by the chance to get back in the pool with kids on a regular basis, and in some way to help American swimming find tomorrow's champions."

Gaines' capacity as Official Spokesperson "was never enough," said Founder, President and CEO of The Limu Company, Gary J. Raser. "We are very excited about this opportunity, because I think we will be the first company to fully utilize Rowdy's assets as both a swimming icon and a tremendous teacher of kids. He is a great role model for all children and an exemplary human being who connects with people like no one else I've met. We chose Rowdy Gaines as our Executive Director from a long list of accomplished athletes, and everything about Rowdy made him the ideal selection, especially his character and his desire to make a difference, which is what The Limu Company is all about," Raser said.

The Limu Company (TLC) is a privately held company based in Lake Mary, Florida.
