COLORADO SPRINGS, June 22. STEVE Roush, Associate Executive Director, and Charlie Snyder, Communications Director of USA Swimming, reportedly have resigned their positions, according to reliable sources. Roush's resignation is effective July 18, Snyder's June 30.
Roush will be named the new Director of Sports Partnerships at the U.S. Olympic Committee. He commented: "This is a golden opportunity to take nine or ten NGBs (national governing bodies) and put together comprehensive business plans for them." Roush has served as Associate Executive Director for USA Swimming for the past six years.
Snyder reportedly is joining a start-up dotcom company, Spiz.net, which is a coaching web site. Spiz reportedly has signed agreements with more than 20 countries to serve as the sole provider of training data for Olympic sports.
