Romanian Nationals Close Out Day 2

After Katinka Hosszu tuned up with an easy 400-meter IM yesterday, the 2016 Romanian Nationals continued on day two without Hosszu.

Sabin Bonea claimed the men’s 800-meter free with a time of 8:19.47, while Florin Raiu placed second in 8:26.83.  Bogdan Petre finished third in 8:32.66.

Dumitrescu Colti topped the women’s 1500-meter free in 17:20.94.  Rebecca Pojar checked in second with a 17:57.49, while Gabriela Dragomir placed third in 18:18.76.

Norbert Trandafir won the men’s 100-meter free in 49.19 with Marius Radu touching in second in 49.33.  Robert Glinta grabbed third in 49.92.

Ana Iulia Dascal posted a 56.66 in the women’s 100-meter free, while Algeria’s Amel Melih touched second in 57.57 with Victorita Bogdaneci taking third in 58.49.

Andrei Roman turned in a 1:03.00 to win the men’s 100-meter breast.  Andreeas Dinca finished second in 1:06.10 with George Oancea winding up third in 1:06.27.

Tatiana Chisca raced her way to a 1:09.47 to win the women’s 100-meter breast, while Florina Ilie placed second in 1:12.03.  Henrietta Fangli finished third in 1:13.93.

Alex Coci captured the men’s 200-meter fly in a time of 2:01.05.  Daniel Martin (2:03.17) and Andrei Rusen (2:06.40) closed out the top three.

Alexandra Dobrin topped the women’s 200-meter fly with a 2:18.49.  Kata Korponay finished second in 2:20.60, while Gabriela Gadea touched third in 2:22.27.
