Ringing in the New Year with January’s Swimming World Magazine: Anthony Ervin Sends Wishes For A Happy 2013!

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 2. HAPPY New Year! We are proud and excited to start 2013 off right by presenting swimming fans with the new version of Swimming World Magazine.

Anthony Ervin helps us “ring” in the New Year by blowing bubble rings for the cover of Swimming World Magazine's January 2013 issue. His personal story fits perfectly with the evolution and revolution of the magazine. Ervin made an incredible comeback at the London Olympics after retiring in 2003. Just as he had to prove himself, once again, to the swimming community, Swimming World Magazine hopes subscribers will enjoy the new direction of the magazine.

ON THE COVER: After disappearing from the swimming spotlight for nearly a decade after retiring from the sport in 2003, Anthony Ervin returned and qualified for the U.S. Olympic team that competed in London. This time around, he approaches swimming with a newfound maturity he considered absent before. “Now, I am a swimmer, an educator and learner, but I'm also a rock-and-roller. We'll see where life takes me,” he says. [COVER PHOTO BY MIKE LEWIS, OLAVISTAPHOTOGRAPHY.COM]
