Richmond vs. William and Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia, October 29. THE William and Mary Tribe women's swimming and diving team fell in its home opener on Friday evening, losing to Richmond, 176-122, at the Rec Center Pool in Williamsburg. With the loss, the Tribe's dual-meet record on the season drops to 2-2.

In the pool, sophomore Kayla O'Malley notched the Tribe's only individual win, touching the wall first in the 200 butterfly. O'Malley scored her third victory of the season with her time of 2:06.53.

In the diving well, freshman Heather Michalak won both the 1-meter voluntary dive and the 1-meter optional dive. Michalak won the events with scores of 129.23 and 165.60, respectively.

The William and Mary Tribe women's swimming and diving team will next be in action on November 6-7, when the College will face Old Dominion, Northeastern, James Madison, and the College of Charleston in a two-day, pod meet.
