PHOENIX, Arizona, April 24. TODAY’S live edition of The Morning Swim Show featured interviews with the head of the USA Swimming Foundation, a new diving national champion and the head coach of USA Diving.

In case you missed our live show (airing each weekday at 10:30 a.m. MST), you can watch the video below and see host Peter Busch’s interview with Chris LaBianco, the head of the USA Swimming Foundation, who talked about the $5 million donation made by Carolyn Dirks and how it will be used for coaching and swimmer incentive, as well as the organization’s popular Make a Splash program.

Busch also interviewed new diving national champion Jonathan Wilcox, who won on the 1-meter springboard but also talked about the difficult dives he does on the 3-meter springboard. Wilcox also talked about making the World University Games team and why combining swimming and diving at the NCAAs is a good thing.

Wenbo Chen, the head coach of the USA Diving national team, talked about his upcoming return to college coaching, in which he’ll head the diving program at Minnesota. He also gave an outlook on the state of USA diving in comparison with the rest of the world.
