Malone had a breakthrough of major proportions last summer, placing third in the 200 freestyle at nationals. He relives the swim and the lessons he’s learned in the past year, especially being a part of the Pan Pacific championship squad. He’s starting his sophomore year at the University of Southern California, and he talks about some of the season’s goals that could include a repeat title in the 800 free relay at the NCAA championships.
