Race Footage: Watch Destin Lasco Post a 1:53.42 To Break 11-12 200 Back NAG

SEWELL, New Jersey, March 14. JUST minutes after Reece Whitley rewrote the 13-14 200-yard breaststroke record while swimming for Penn Charter at the Middle Atlantic Junior Olympics, Destin Lasco joined the fray with a new mark in the 11-12 200-yard backstroke finale.

Lasco tracked down Ryan Murphy’s 2008 200-yard backstroke National Age Group record in the event with a 1:53.42, smashing Murphy’s previous mark of 1:55.21.

The results are now official:
