Portuguese National Record Falls at City of Tavira International Meet

TAVIRA, Portugal, November 22. OVER the weekend, the Portuguese national short course meter record in the women's 200 medley relay fell at the City of Tavira International Swim Meet.

The Amadora team of Susana Patricia Miguel (31.92), Diana Duarte Gomes (32.12), Filipa Ferreira Silva (28.09) and Raquel Sousa Gomes (27.35) set the national record in the event with a time of 1:59.48. The previous record had been a 2:00.14.

Meanwhile, a total of 22 meet record-breaking performances were recorded during the meet that lasted from Nov. 16-18.
