Popovich Nominated for Sportswoman of the Year

PHOENIX, Ariz., USA August 29. PARALYMPIC swimmer Erin Popovich is one of the nominees for the 2005 Women's Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Year Award. In 2004, she won seven gold medals at the Athens Paralympics, setting three World Records, and was the runner-up for this award.

As a two-time Paralympian, she has tallied 10 gold medals in her career and plans on taking a go at the 2008 Games in Beijing.
