PHOENIX – Last week we tapped into controversial politics. To refresh, FINA honored Russia’s President Vladimir Putin with their highest award for his contribution to aquatics.

The recognition caused quite the stir in the swimming world with nay-sayers arguing, Putin does not deserve the award given Russia’s on-going athlete doping issues and his current war efforts. We wanted to know, do you think Russian President Vladimir Putin deserves FINA’s highest award? The results are in and the consensus is quite obvious. 92% of voters think Putin does not deserve the FINA Order. The remaining 8% think FINA made the right decision.
