Poll of the Week: Which Recent American Record Was the Most Impressive?

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 7. FOR our new poll, we're moving on to short course yards records, specifically the four American records set last weekend at the USA Swimming nationals and the Georgia Invite. We want to know which of these four was the most impressive. Was it Kevin Cordes' 51.10 in the 100 breast, his 1:50.37 in the 200 breast, Matt Grevers' 44.55 in the 100 back or Elizabeth Pelton's 1:48.90 in the 200 back? You can go directly to our home page at swimmingworld.com and place your vote on the right side of the page.

Late last month we saw Camille Muffat and Yannick Agnel break three short course meters world records between them, and we wanted to know which of those three was the most surprising swim. With 49.71 percent of the vote, Yannick Agnel's 400 free world record of 3:32.25 was picked as the most surprising swim. Muffat's 800 free world record of 8:01.06 was a close second with 41.71 percent and Muffat's 400 free record time of 3:54.85 was a distant third with 8.57 percent.
