Poll of the Week: Ryan Lochte’s Reality Show (Results)

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 27. EARLY last week we got the news that Ryan Lochte’s reality show, “What Would Ryan Lochte Do,” was not getting renewed for a second season, likely due to low ratings on the E! network. The show did have some devoted fans, and we wanted to know if you thought the show should have continued.

It looks like the majority of you agree with E’s decision, 89.66 percent of you in fact, who said Lochte’s show didn’t need to come back. And then there are those devoted fans, 10.34 percent of the voters in our poll, who said they wanted to see more of Lochte.

(Editor’s note: Our graphic on the Poll of the Week segment incorrectly stated the results of the poll. It should read that 89.66 percent did not want to see his show return, while 10.34 were in favor of a second season. We apologize for the incorrect graphic.)

The new college swimming and diving season has literally just started, but it’s never too early to start predicting national champions. A lot of the events will feature some tight races, but one we’re excited to see in March at the NCAA championships is the men’s 100 backstroke. We’ve got two freshmen who might present the biggest challenge to the 2013 NCAA champion, and those are the choices in this week’s poll. Who do you think will win the men’s 100 back at the 2014 NCAA championships? Will it be Texas freshman Jack Conger, Cal freshman Ryan Murphy or reigning champion David Nolan? Of course, one, two or all three of these guys might not swim the 100 back in March, but for now, the chances are high that these three will meet in Austin. To vote in this poll go to our home page at swimmingworld.com and vote on the right side of the page.

We’ll be back next week with the results.
