Polish Long Course Nationals: Pawel Korzeniowski Posts World-Ranked Time

OSTROWIEC SWIETOKRZYSKI, Poland, May 20. THE Polish Long Course Nationals continued with a second evening of action in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski.

Pawel Korzeniowski won the men's 400 IM in 4:16.52. That swim pushed him up to 16th in the world rankings, just behind Daiya Seto (4:16.42) for 15th. Marcin Cieslak finished a distant second in 4:24.91, while Mateusz Kierzkowski posted a third-place 4:26.49.

Diana Sokolowska captured the women's 200 free title in 2:02.11. Aleksandra Bernat took second in 2:04.41, while Paula Zukowska earned third in 2:04.89. Mateusz Slawinski topped the men's 200 free in 1:50.56, while Michael Poprawa finished second in 1:51.28. Radoslaw Bor wound up third in 1:51.77.

Ewa Scieszko claimed the women's 50 breast in 32.44, while Agnieszka Ostrowska picked up second in 32.96. Monika Czerniak finished third in 33.12. Dawid Szulich posted a 28.20 to win the men's 50 breast. Przemyslaw Gorczyca (28.36) and Filip Wypych (28.77) completed the top three.

Alicja Tchorz hit the wall in 1:01.97 to win the women's 100 back in 1:01.97. Aleksandra Putra placed second in 1:02.03, while Klaudia Nazieblo earned third in 1:02.90. Marcin Tarczynski won the men's 100 back in 54.82. Radoslaw Kawecki finished a rare second with a 54.91, while Krzyszstof Jankiewicz placed third in 56.22.

Karolina Urbanska pocketed the women's 400 IM title in 4:52.55. Paulina Sikora finished second in 4:53.20, while Katarzyna Staszkiewicz earned third in 4:56.52.

Otylia Jedrzejczak, Katarzyna Ptasinska, Joanna Golebiowska and Karolina Szczepaniak won the women's 400 free relay in 3:52.27. Radoslaw Bor, Jakub Jasinski, Adam Plutecki and Radoslaw Kawecki claimed the men's 400 free relay in 3:24.75.
