BALTIMORE, May 20. WHERE can one find exhibits dedicated to Babe Ruth and Michael Phelps? Take a trip to Baltimore and visit the Sports Legends of Camden Yards, a museum that recently opened and pays homage to some of Maryland’s sporting greats.
The museum includes memorabilia from Maryland’s top sports stars, along with video and film segments. There are also interactive opportunities for guests to enjoy. The accomplishments of Phelps, a native of Rodgers Forge, are noted in the museum. Phelps won eight Olympic medals at last summer’s Games in Athens.
The museum is located at the entrance to Oriole Park and contains a number of features dedicated to Babe Ruth, the baseball legend from Baltimore who spent his career with the New York Yankees. Some of the other highlights include exhibits featuring Cal Ripken, Johnny Unitas and the Preakness Stakes, the second jewel in horse racing’s Triple Crown.
