PHOENIX, Arizona, July 10. TODAY we're hopping over to Europe to give this honor to a swimmer who is continuing to put her name at the top of the medal hopefuls for the London Olympics.
At the Paris Open last weekend, Camille Muffat played with the field in the 800 freestyle, splitting a 4:18.78 at the 400 mark and coming home in an amazing 4:04.82. Later on that day, she won the 200 free in a respectable 1:56. The challenge was on for Muffat on the second day of the meet, and she won the 400 free in 4:04.42.
Muffat still owns the fastest time in the word in the 400 free, making her the one to chase in London. She'll also be a force in the 400 free in less than three weeks.
Congratulations Camille. You've won our Performance of the Week!
