Passages: Pennsylvania’s Kim Jones, 51

HERSHEY, Pennsylvania, January 25. KIM Jones, a former coach at West Shore YMCA as well as an assistant high school coach at Cumberland Valley in Pennsylvania, succumbed to cancer on Jan. 17 at the age of 51.

Jones, known as a fiery competitor within the coaching ranks in Pennsylvania, is survived by her parents Elmer and Patty as well as her daughters Kendell-Christie Jones and Carrigan Eckels.

WSY Swimming has detailed ways that members of the community can step in to help Jones' daughters.

A scholarship fund has been set up for Carrigan, with checks made payable to Carrigan:

Meanwhile, Carrigan currently swims at the Hershey Aquatic Club, and she is incurring fees by swimming with the team as all swimmers do. Donations of any amount may be made payable to Hershey Aquatic Club and sent to the attention of Chistine Drexler – 28 Penzance Road, Hershey, PA 17033 to help keep Carrigan swimming at Hershey.
