PACK Swim Team’s Lindsay Stone, PJ Ransford Sweep Distance Titles In Buffalo

BUFFALO, New York, March 28. PACK Swim Team of Pittsburgh’s Lindsay Stone and PJ Ransford opened the first night of swimming at the Buffalo, N.Y. sectionals with wins in the women’s 800 free and men’s 1500 free, respectively.

Stone topped the women’s field with an 8:54.52, four and a half seconds under her seed time of 8:59.01. Star Swimming’s Sydney Modeas cracked 9:00 for the first time with a second place effort of 8:58.51, just ahead of SOLO Aquatics’ Bryanna Cameron (8:58.55).

Ransford dominated the men’s mile, winning by more than 40 seconds in 15:34.36, slightly under his best coming into the meet (15:35.91). Jack McIntyre of Eastern Express dropped almost 30 seconds to finish second in 16:16.71, while Ian Russiello of The Fish claimed third in 16:22.13.
