The Pac-12 only has a handful of meets this week, but one of them is a interconference showdown with the Big Ten.

On Friday the 13th, USC faces Wisconsin in a battle that will be decided by anything but unluckiness.

The Trojans are ranked No. 8 in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America women’s poll, while the Badgers are ranked No. 14. USC is No. 16 in the men’s poll, while the Badgers are No. 19.

Both meets should be close and entertaining, but the women’s meet could be extra special.

The Trojans are led by Louis Hansson, Maddie Wright, Tatum Wade and a host of top breaststrokers. USC’s Riley Scott has the top 100-yard breaststroke time in the Pac-12 (59.80), while teammate Kelsey Kafka is third (1:00.34), Kirsten Vose is fourth (1:00.48) and Riley Hayward is sixth (1:00.81).

Wisconsin is led by sprinters Cierra Runge and Chase Kinney, and have several swimmers with NCAA ‘B’ cuts looking to get closer to the ‘A’ standard.

The USC women will also swim against Utah on Saturday. Utah will make it a double dip by competing against UCLA on Friday.

Those are the only swim meets of the week, but the UCLA Bruin Diving Invitational is Friday-Sunday and will feature divers from UCLA, Cal, USC and Utah.
