Ouachita Wins Ladies, Combined Titles in Henderson State Invite; Hosts win Men’s Title

ARKADELPHIA,AR, November 27. WITH the Lady TigerSharks finishing first out of six teams and the TigerSharks finishing second out of five teams, the two combined for the team championship at the Henderson State Invitational Nov. 19-20 at the Duke Wells Center, per school reports.

The Lady TigerSharks finished 55 points in front of the second-place team and the TigerSharks finished 42 points behind first-place Henderson State. Together, the two teams won 15 of the 32 events and posted six NCAA (Div. II) qualifying times. The Lady TigerSharks also posted four school records in the meet.

On the women's side, red shirt freshman Annalisa Lubinski won three individual events (200 free, 50 free and 100 free) and was a part of two relay teams (200 medley and 400 free) that posted first-place finishes. Lubinski posted an NCAA "B" qualifying time in the 100 free as well.

Lubinski also broke school records in the 100 free and 200 free. In the 100 free, Lubinski broke a record that was broken just minutes earlier as Louise Keithley posted a time of 54.4 seconds. Lubinski came along and broke that new record with a time of 53.24 seconds.

Sophomore Amanda Loper won the 100 back and the 200 back and was a part of the winning relay teams in the 200 medley and the 400 free. Loper also posted a "B" qualifying time in the 100 back.

Senior Emily Looney picked up wins in the 200 IM and the 500 Free and Catherine Engibous won the 200 butterfly for the Lady TigerSharks.

For the TigerSharks, senior Chris Achey posted fast times and numerous records in the invitational. Achey won the 100 back and 200 back and posted an "A" qualifying time in the 100 back and a "B" qualifying time in both the 200 back and 100 free.

James Riddle earned two first-place finishes for the TigerSharks with wins in the 200 free and 500 free and Jon Manning took first place in the 200 butterfly. Posting a "B" qualifying time for Ouachita in the 50 free was Paul Frankenberger.

The TigerSharks and Lady TigerSharks will swim next in the UALR Christmas Invitational on December 3-4 in Little Rock.
