Olympic Bronze Medalist Lotte Friis Withdraws From World Short Course Championships

BALTIMORE – Lotte Friis, an Olympic bronze medalist, has decided to withdraw from the 2014 World Short Course Championships next month.

Friis, citing a shoulder injury and sickness, released a statement via the Danish Swimming Federation in conjunction with her North Baltimore Aquatic Club team pulling out of the meet.

Friis will, however, still competed at the Danish Short Course Championships this weekend, before returning to NBAC to prepare for the 2015 World Long Course Championships in Kazan.
