ROCHESTER, Michigan, September 30. VANESSZA Balogh and Alyssa Vela won three individual events and one relaywhile Nick Evans and Alex Aceino both won two individual events as the BlackTeam beat the Gold Team 322.5-268.5 as the Oakland men's and women's swimmingand diving team help their annual Black and Gold Meet Friday night at the OUAquatic Center.

"We had some greatearly season times tonight especially for how tired the team is after workingso hard these last few weeks," said head swimming and diving coach PeteHovland. "With a meet like this you looktowards your leaders and I think those are the people who did really welltonight."

On the women's side,the Black Team edged out the women's team 154-144. The Black Team was led by Vela who won the200 yard free (1:56.64), 100 free (54.42), 50 free (25.04) and was a member onthe winning 200 medley relay with Alyssa Busch, Johanna Gustafsson and NicoleSalmeto (1:49.20). Gustafsson won the200 breast (2:31.91) and the 100 breast (1:07.62) while Busch won the 200 back(2:10.74) and the 100 back (59.36).

The Gold Team waspaced by Balogh who won the 1,000 yard free (10:15.74), 500 free (5:01.32), 200IM (2:12.87) and was a part of the winning 400 free relay team with SandraCzerska, Brooke Will and Bronte Stewart (3:40.21). Czerska also won the 200 fly (2:06.06) andthe 100 fly (57.80). Marcella Barettawon both the 1-meter and 3 meter diving events.

On the men's side,the Black Team won by a total score of 168.5-124.5 over the Gold Team. The Black Team was led by Alex Aceino who the200 fly (1:56.71), 100 fly (50.48) and was a member on the winning 200 medleyrelay and 400 free relay. The 200 medleyrelay consisted of Aceino, Anders Jansen, Ben Vavra and Zach Johnson (1:32.89)and the 400 free relay consisted of Aceino, Johnson, Vavra and Nick Evans(3:11.76). Jansen won the 100 back(50.58) and the 200 back (1:50.92) and Nick Evans won the 500 free (4:38.25)and the 200 free. Jordan Zendejas wonboth the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.

For the Gold Team,they were led byAmr el Sayed who won the 1000 free (9:38.46), Scott Yarborough winnignthe 100 breast (59.14), Matyas Keresztes who won the 50 free (21.50) and TobiasHansen who won the 200 IM (1:53.81).

Oakland will be inthe pool again tomorrow as they host their annual alumni meet starting at 3:30p.m. in the OU Aquatic Center. OUofficially begins their season on Oct. 8 as they take on Michigan State andCleveland State in East Lansing, Mich. at McCaffree Pool at IM West starting at1:00 p.m.
