Northern Iowa v. Nebraska-Omaha

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa, January 19. THE University of Nebraska at Omaha swimming and diving team snapped a seven-dual losing streak by upsetting NCAA Division I Northern Iowa, 145-117, Saturday afternoon at the Wellness Recreation Center Pool.

The Mavericks won nine of 16 titles in the dual, paced by Jessica Hessel who claimed three event titles on the day. Lindsey Kline and Carrie Murphy each won two events in the dual.

Hessel claimed event titles in the 50-yard freestyle (24.70), 100-yard freestyle (53.27), and 100-yard butterfly (59.45).

Kline won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:45.51 and 500-yard freestyle in 5:14.13.

Murphy was the winner in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.29) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:24.91).
