North Carolina vs. Duke

DURHAM, North Carolina, January 27. NORTH Carolina defeated Duke in men’s and women’s swimming and diving Friday night at Taishoff Pool. The UNC men won by a score of 165-121, while the Tar Heel women prevailed 178-111.

North Carolina improved to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in ACC on the men’s side and 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the ACC on the women’s side.

UNC senior Steve Cebertowicz won two individual events and swam on two individual relays to lead the Carolina men. UNC won 11 events compared to four for the Blue Devils.

Seven different Tar Heel women won individually while Duke women won seven individual events as well. UNC won both relay events.
