No. 6 USC Women Beat No. 22 Arizona State, 169-125

LOS ANGELES, California, November 11. THE No. 6 USC women's swimming and diving team won all but two swimming events, including two each by senior Kalyn Keller and junior Hayley McGregory, as the Women of Troy defeated No. 22 Arizona State, 169-125, on Saturday (Nov. 11) at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium.

USC improved to 3-1 overall, 2-1 in the Pac-10. Keller posted a pair of wins in the 1000y free (9:47.07) and the 400y IM (4:21.36), the latter an NCAA consideration time.

McGregory swept the backstroke events, winning the 100y back in 55.54 and the 200y back in 2:00.65, both times NCAA `B' cuts.

Sophomore Rachael Waller won the 200y free (1:50.88), sophomore Missy McIntyre won the 100y breast (1:02.69, NCAA `B' cut), junior Emily Goetsch won the 200y fly (2:04.19), sophomore Rebecca Soni won the 200y breast (2:14.18, NCAA `B' cut) and junior Whitney Hentzen won the 500y free (4:52.66, NCAA `B' cut).

USC junior Kim Popp took second in both springboard events, scoring 231.75 on 1-meter and 256.95 on 3-meter.

Rhi Jeffrey was second for USC in the 50y free (23.92) and Kristen Lahey was second in the 100y fly (56.11).
