NISCA Award Banquet Highlights

The National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) held their 32nd Annual Awards Banquet last night by honoring eight coaches for outstanding service to the sport of swimming.

Joseph Groscost received the NISCA Hall of Fame Award for 36 years of coaching excellence at Castalia Margaretta and Perkins High Schools on Castalia, Ohio.

The 2003 Collegiate and Scholastic Swimming Trophy award went to James R.Voss who retired from coaching in 1998 after serving NISCA as a member for 37years. 33 of those 37 years, coach Voss was the Head Coach for Men’s Swim Team at Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The following coaches received the 2003 NISCA Outstanding Service Award:
Larry Rogers (Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, CA)
Edward Aston (Cheshire High School in Cheshire, CT)
Kirk Price (Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, CO)
Linda Horn (Brownsburg High School in Brownsburg, IN)
Dan Murphy Mallard Public High School in Omaha, NE)
Bob White was honored with a Life Member plaque
