NEW COMMIT: All Star Aquatics’ Olivia French has verbally committed to take her swimming and academic talents to Tulane University. French will move to New Orleans from Gaithersburg, Maryland, where she is a senior at Good Counsel High School.

French is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and a NISCA All-American. A US Open Qualifier, her top times include:

  • 50 Fly SCY 25.08
  • 100 Fly SCY 54.65
  • 200 Fly SCY 2:04.06
  • 50 Free SCY 23.87
  • 100 Free SCY 51.94
  • 200 Free SCY 1:50.58
  • 50 Back SCY 26.36
  • 100 Back SCY 57.54

French told Swimming World,

“Tulane offers so many athletic and academic opportunities that I can’t wait to take advantage of. Thanks to my club coaches, family, friends, and the coaches at Tulane that made this possible for me. Roll Wave!”

French should be a significant addition to the Tulane squad. At last year’s American Athletic Conference Championships French would have been a 100 fly A finalist. Tulane had three swimmers in that top heat. Only Gabriela Vieira (54.64) will still be on the roster when French arrives. French would also be a 200 fly B finalist. She’ll train for a year with Emily Ramier (2:08.87), a B finalist last year.
