Nevada Beefs Up

The University of Nevada looks to strengthen its swimming and diving corps this winter when three new recruits arrive in Reno. Beimeng Fu, a diver with the Chinese National Team, will enter as a freshman. Accompanying her will be Zian Li You, one of the Chinese National Team coaches who has been hired to coach the Nevada Divers.

Coach Mike Anderson will be welcoming two Australian swimmers as well. Dyana Calub has long course meters times of 26.7 in the 50 free, 57.9 in the 100 free and 1:04.1 in the 100 back. Laura Batle, also a sprinter, has times of 26.7 in the 50 free, 57.5 in the 100 free, 2:06 in the 200 free and 1:04 in the 100 fly.
