NCAA Women’s Weekend Preview

PHOENIX, Arizona. February 2. IT’S not over yet folks. Just when all the championship meets are in sight, a few more dual meets sneak in. Check back this weekend for all the updates.

1. Georgia: The Lady Dawgs have successfully completed another undefeated season as they ended their dual meet schedule with wins against South Carolina and Alabama. Watch for them the weekend of February 15th at the SEC championships.

2. Auburn: This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, watch for the Tigers at their own Orange and Blue Invitational, and later in the month at the SEC Championships where they take on tough teams like Georgia and Florida.

3. Cal: The Bears are taking the weekend off after defeating in-state rivals USC and UCLA. Wait for a fun one next weekend with Stanford and see who matches up to these polls.

4. Stanford: The Lady Cardinal is also taking the weekend off after losing to UCLA, but winning against USC. They are matched up with Cal for next weekend to determine which school really is the best in the Pac-10.

5. Florida: The Gators are at home this weekend to face Indian River and then off to SECs they go in Knoxville, Tennessee.

6. Arizona: After winning their final home dual meet against Texas the Cats have one more meet to go until Pac-10s in Long Beach, California. They will travel north to take on in-state rival ASU on the 11th.

7. UCLA: The last time in the pool these Bears defeated Stanford and suffered a loss to Cal. This weekend they are recovering looking forward to the 11th and USC on their home turf.

8. Texas: The Longhorns have the weekend off after suffering a defeat at the hands of the Arizona Wildcats. They next take on Rice on the 8th of February.

9. SMU: Fifteen of the Lady Mustangs are headed to New York this weekend to compete in the Fina World Cup meet, and won’t see any more action until the C-USA Championships.

10. Wisconsin: The Badgers are holding an intrasquad meet tomorrow afternoon to close out the season and prepare for the Big 10 Championships at the end of the month.
