NC State Releases 2015-2016 Competition Schedule

The NC State swimming and diving team has released its competition schedule for the 2015-16 season, as announced by head coach Braden Holloway.

The regular season schedule features three meets inside Willis R. Casey Natatorium, three match ups against conference foes, two trips to the west coast and two trips along the southeast coast.

“We definitely have a great schedule for this upcoming season. We’re going to face some great competition and have some great trips lined up for our team that will provide some great experiences,” said Holloway.

“Competing against these tough teams is really going set up our team well for the championship season. Going against the best in the nation will bring out the best in us and really help to prepare us for ACC’s and NCAAs.”

The program will kick off its season hosting the fourth-annual All-North Carolina Invite on Oct. 2-3 in Greensboro, N.C.

Its away portion of the schedule opens with a trip for the womens team to Los Angeles, Calif., to face Southern California, who finished eighth at the NCAA Championships, and Hawaii on Oct. 16-17.

Once the women return home, the Pack will host a tri-meet on Oct. 24, as it will welcome ACC foes Florida State and Georgia Tech.

The Wolfpack men start its road schedule when it travels to Berkeley, Calif., to match up with California on Nov. 6, followed by a dual meet with Stanford in Palo Alto on Nov. 7.

At last seasons NCAA Championships, California took the runner-up spot while Stanford finished sixth- only nine and a half points ahead of the Wolfpack men.

On Jan. 8-9, the womens team will head south to face Florida International, Miami and Florida Gulf Coast, before hosting conference foe Virginia on Jan. 22 in its final home meet of the season.

The following day the diving team will match up with Clemson in Greensboro, N.C. on Jan. 23, then the Pack will close out its regular season as it returns to UNC-Chapel Hill for a dual meet on Jan. 30.

The program will then shift into its post-season competition, competing at the ACC Championships in Greensboro, N.C. The womens swimming and diving and mens diving championships will run Feb. 17-20, followed by the mens swimming championships Feb. 24-27.
