National Independent School Record Broken

The national independent school record for the girls 100 yard backstroke, 55.05, has been broken twice in the last month.

First Shelly Ripple broke the mark at the Baton Rouge City Championships, swimming 54.72, unshaved and untapered. Then Christy Watkins a junior at Trinity High School, shaved that down to 54.69 at the Florida 4A state meet.
