Mountain West Conference Championships: Day One

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma, February 26. THE Air Force men’s and Wyoming women’s swimming and diving teams lead the rankings with 100 and 109 points, respectively, through day one of the 2009 MWC Swimming and Diving Championships. TCU is second for the men with 86 points, while Utah and BYU are tied for second in the women’s competition with 75 points.

UNLV is third in the men’s standings with 84 points, followed by Wyoming (83), BYU (68) and Utah (61). For the women, UNLV is fourth with 74 points, followed by TCU (72), San Diego State (71), Colorado State (66), New Mexico (57) and Air Force (46).

Day two events begin with the women’s one-meter springboard and men’s and women’s 500-yard freestyle preliminaries at 10 a.m. CT. The finals competition starts at 6 p.m. CT. The 2009 MWC Swimming and Diving Championships conclude Saturday, February 28.
