Morning Swim Show: Omaha’s Quest to Win 2016 USA Swimming Olympic Trials Bid

PHOENIX, Arizona, April 19. ON today's edition of The Morning Swim Show, we begin our series of interviews with representatives of the three cities named as finalists for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials.

Today's show features Harold Cliff, the president of the Omaha Sports Commission, who has led Omaha's hosting of the Trials in 2008 and 2012. Cliff talks about USA Swimming's site visit and how Omaha would “modify” things for the 2016 meet, if it is picked to host the event. Though Omaha has hosted the meet twice, Cliff says his confidence of getting the bid comes not from past experience, but from the hard work his organization has put in to convince USA Swimming that Omaha is the best place for Trials. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.
