Morning Swim Show: Kirk Nelson Relives Jeopardy!, Masters Nationals Experiences

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 6. MASTERS swimmer Kirk Nelson won more than $19,000 on Jeopardy!, and he relives the experience on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

With the show taped in late January, it was difficult for Nelson to not tell the outcome of the show, which aired at the end of May. He talks about how he studied for his appearances and the topics he focused on more than others. He also relives the behind-the-scenes activities during taping and what he wished he had done between tapings of his show. Nelson won the 1650 freestyle recently at the U.S. Masters national championships, and he talks about racing next to faster people and how he paced himself to ensure a fast swim, and how a lack of routine dryland work might have affected his shorter races.
