Schmidt had never swum the 50-yard freestyle under 23 seconds until last November, and she would do it eight times in her junior year. She talks about the dryland work she does to gain strength and speed, including the 4D Pro that helps her with core strength and leg speed. She also talks about the Bolles tradition of excellence and how the history of winning recently on the men’s side is motivating the women’s team.
