Morning Swim Show: Journey Back To 2006 Nationals In Irvine

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 5. ON today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show we take you back in time eight years to the USA Swimming nationals, which took place in Irvine, Calif., at the same pool that will be used for this week’s championships.

As you will see in these highlights, not too much has changed in eight years. Michael Phelps is still swimming. Natalie Coughlin is still a star. Cullen Jones is still one of the top sprinters. Some of the other national champions from 2006, such as Aaron Peirsol, are no longer competing, but it’s great to look back and admire the performances that have shaped what we are set to see starting tomorrow in Irvine.
