Morning Swim Show: Jim Koehr Previews Virginia Independent High School State Championships

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 30. SETON School coach Jim Koehr joins today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show to offer a preview of the upcoming Virginia Independent Schools state swimming and diving championships.

Koehr starts the interview with host Jeff Commings talking about the top swimmers on his team at Seton School, particularly an eighth-grader who has been a surprise in freestyle and backstroke. He also details the origins of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association, why it is separate from the public school league and the perception of private schools in the state. He concludes the interview with a rundown of the top swimmers to watch at the meet, which will feature Commings providing live commentary on the live stream.
