Morning Swim Show, Jan. 15: Alex Rodriguez Keeps Swimming an Important Part of Water Polo Training

PHOENIX, Arizona, January 15. ON today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show Pomona-Pitzer water polo coach Alex Rodriguez looks back on the interesting season his men’s team had in the pool and the prestigious award he will receive later this week.

Rodriguez will receive the Monte Nitzkowski Distinguished Men’s Coaching Award for his work with the Pomona-Pitzer men’s team, which stood up to stronger foes last season and came out better athletes because of it, Rodriguez says in his interview with Tiffany Elias. He talks about the challenges of being a Division III team in a sport mostly consisting of Division I talent, and why he never backs down from facing the country’s best teams.
