Morning Swim Show: Incarnate Word Swimming Ready to Prove Place in Division I

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 17. TWO seniors on the University of the Incarnate Word’s swim team join today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show as they prepare for the first dual meet of their transition to Division I status.

Daniel Torres and Thiago Parravicini will not be able to compete in the NCAA championships in their final year because of the transition, and they talk about their acceptance of that in favor of bringing the team up to a new level. They also talk about their mindset for today’s dual meet against Texas A&M and why they feel up to the task of racing stronger teams to show the school belongs in Division I competition. Both of them also discuss their postgrad swimming plans, including Parravicini’s hope to represent Brazil at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
