Morning Swim Show: How Katy Campbell’s Coaches and Teammates Helped Her Win First National Title

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 18. KATY Campbell won the women’s 1500 freestyle at the USA Swimming national championships, and on today’s episode of The Morning Swim Show, we get the opportunity to learn more about the first-time national champion.

Campbell had two great coaches guiding her to the win in the mile. She trained with Cyndi Gallagher at UCLA during the week and went home to Pasadena to work with her age-group coach Terry Stoddard each weekend. Campbell relived the race, including her amazing even-splitting strategy and how her teammates motivated her during the swim.
