Morning Swim Show: Cure for Multiple Sclerosis Part of Auburn Swimming’s Season Goals

PHOENIX, Arizona, September 23. TODAY’S edition of The Morning Swim Show features a conversation with Auburn swimming and diving head coach Brett Hawke.

The collegiate competitive season is set to begin in a few days for the Auburn Tigers and Hawke talks about his goals for the season and what it means to have two former teammates on deck with him as coach. But in the middle of all the recruiting and preparation for the college season, Hawke is dealing with a wife who has been suffering from multiple sclerosis for three years. Hawke talks about the severity of the disease and how it affects Trudi Hawke, and the medication she takes to help stem the worst parts of the disease. He also talks about the fundraising swim the team is holding to help with research for treatments for those afflicted with MS, and how the swimmers have been affected in their daily lives through their interactions with Trudi.
