Morning Swim Show: Aaron Peirsol Looking Forward to Giving Back to the Sport


PHOENIX, Arizona, April 3. BACKSTROKE legend Aaron Peirsol joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show, one week before debuting his new venture with Arena at the Mesa Grand Prix meet.

Peirsol talks about the Arena Grand Prixview, which will put young swimmers into relay teams headed by him and swimming superstar Janet Evans. Peirsol talks about why he finds it important to give back to the sport in a way that impacts the younger generation, and mentions a few of the idols he looked up to when he was a young swimmer in southern California. Peirsol also analyzes the current state of swimming in light of the recent NCAA championships and Olympic Games, and what the future holds for the sport.
