Morning Swim Show: A Thanksgiving Chat With Cancer Survivor Monica Bottelberghe

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 28. OUR special Thanksgiving edition of The Morning Swim Show features teenager Monica Bottelberghe discussing the road back to the pool after surgery removed cancer cells from her thyroid.

Bottelberghe underwent extensive surgery in August, shortly after competing at the junior nationals, and just a few weeks ago, won the state high school title in the 200 free at the Washington state championships. She talks about the journey to that moment, which included some extreme nerves in her first competition post-surgery and what lies ahead for her healthwise as she gets ready to attend Boise State next fall. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.

Special Thanks to Finis for sponsoring the Morning Swim Show’s interview segments in the Finis Monitor.
