Montana’s Top Recruit Pierce Oja Chooses South Dakota State

BILLINGS, Montana, September 25. PIERCE Oja, the top recruit in the State of Montana by CollegeSwimming.com, will be remaining in cold weather country as a member of South Dakota State’s Class of 2015.

Oja is a breaststroker out of Billings Aquatic Club who should have an impact at SDSU. He has a 59.78 in the 100-yard breast and a 1:09.99 in the 100-meter breast.

“SDSU has an amazing team environment, the academic programs are very strong (high team GPA), and the campus is gorgeous,” Oja posted on CollegeSwimming.com about his commitment. “GO JACKS!”

Oja also has a 22.08 in the 50-yard free and a 2:14.70 in the 200-yard breaststroke.

A member of Billing Central High, he turned in a 27.59 in the 50-yard breast and a 48.13 in the 100-yard free at the Montana State Short Course Championships.
