Mitchell Sets a New World Record

From Reuter’s News Service – Australia’s Ryan Mitchell set a short-course world record in the men’s 200m breaststroke at the Australian Short Course Swimming Championships in Melbourne.

Mitchell’s time of 2:07.66 lowered the previous standard of 2:07.80, set in the same pool 3 years ago by 1992 and 1996 Olympic bronze medalist Phil Rogers.
